I had a few ideas on what I thought this first post would be, unfortunately (or maybe not) none of them were turning out the way I wanted. So I figured “Why not make the post an ice breaker?” While there is some information on the About Page of this site, this way we can get to know each other a bit better, since you know, I have no idea who you are and vice versa.

Now I will admit I’m not the best at making friends because I’m extremely introverted but I do think I’m a pretty cool person to have around so welcome 🙂 Anyways, with all that being said, I took to the internet to find out what are some things you usually ask a person when you first meet them. Some were hilarious and others would simply make the situation more awkward, luckily I found this article: 27 Questions to Ask Someone You Just Met.
Here’s a few of the questions I thought would be fun for us to answer:
What’s your favorite movie or movie genre?
There are too many great movies for me to pick just one favorite. A film I could watch a million times and never get tired of however, is ‘A Portrait of A Lady On Fire’. It’s a French “historical romance drama” about a female artist, Marianne, who is hired to secretly paint the wedding portrait of a reluctant bride to be, Héloïse. This is a movie that I can say I love everything about, the cinematography, dialogue, symbolism, music and every other minor little detail.

What’s your favorite sport?
100% Basketball. I’ve played a few other sports like volleyball, netball and rugby but none of them can compare to my love for basketball. My favorite NBA team is the Golden State Warriors and while I don’t have a favorite WNBA team, some players I enjoy watching are Candace Parker, Skylar Diggins-Smith and Allie Quigley.

What’s your favorite activity to do alone?
One of my favorite activities to do regardless of whether I’m alone or not is listen to music. The only time I’m probably not listening to music is when I’m sleeping.

As you’ve maybe noticed by now I’m pretty indecisive, so I don’t have ONE favorite anything, whether it be song, artist or genre. I love discovering new artists and different genres of music. A few of my favorite artists right now are Doja Cat, NF, Jessie Reyez, Sleeping At Last and Saba. The song I’ve listened to the most this week has either got to be “2012” by Saba or “Pretty Girls” by Little Dragon.
